Detailed Tour Itinerary: Your weeklong luxury tour on Royal Rajasthan On Wheels starts from Safdarjung Railway Station in New Delhi. At railway station, you receive traditional welcome from the staff before you board the train. The train departs for Jodhpur at 9 pm on Sunday.
Day 2 : Monday, Jodhpur, Arrival 08.00 am, Departure 04.30 pm
Detailed Tour Itinerary: You reach Jodhpur, the land of mystic glory and the second biggest city of the state of Rajasthan on second day of your tour. Jodhpur city was founded in mid-15th century by Rao Jodha who was a brave Rajput king. For the whole day, you explore different tourist sites of Jodhpur including Mehrangarh Fort, Umaid Bhawan Palace, etc. Mehrangarh Fort is a grand structure where you can watch numerous artifacts of earlier centuries including musical instruments, paintings, documents, and much more. The Umaid Bhawan Palace, a perfect example of Rajasthani architectural style, gives you a glimpse of the royal lives of the rulers of Rajasthan. After exploring much of Jodhpur, you return to station for your further journey on Royal Rajasthan On Wheels.
Day 3 : Tuesday, Udaipur, Arrival 07.00 am, Departure 02.30 pm; Chittorgarh Arrival 4.45 pm, Departure 10.10 pm
Detailed Tour Itinerary: You arrive at Udaipur on Tuesday morning. Udaipur, a beautiful city and a major tourist destination of Rajasthan, is named after Rana Udai Singh. This romantic city with numerous love stories of its rulers also boasts of a long glorious history. During you sightseeing tour of Udaipur, you visit the Jag Niwas (City Palace), Lake Palace, Jag Mandir, Sahelion ki Bari and other tourist attractions. The City Palace is a fine example of the blending of Mughal and Rajputana architectural styles. It houses a museum with a fine collection of weapons, dresses, and other items. You also visit the local markets filled with fine handicraft items, mementoes made of marble, and paintings. After exploring the city, you return to train which departs from Udaipur railway station at about 2.30 pm for Chittorgarh. You reach Chittorgarh at around 4.45 pm. Chittorgarh is the land of heroes whose stories of valor are still narrated in this region. Here you visit the Chittorgarh Fort, dating back to 7th century and featuring numerous buildings and temples. You also visit the Vijay Stambh or Tower of Victory that was constructed by Rana Kumbha after his victory over his enemies. You enjoy the light and sound show in the evening before returning to railway station.
Day 4 : Wednesday, Swai Madhopur, Arrival 05.30 am, Departure 09.30 am; Jaipur, Arrival 11.30 am, Departure 10.15 pm
Detailed Tour Itinerary: You arrive at Sawai Madhopur in the morning of day four of your trip on Royal Rajasthan On Wheels. Named after Sawai Madho Singh I, this city serves as the gateway to Ranthambore National Park, the abode of tiger. You visit this park in the morning to spot wild animals in the wilds of the park. You return to station and board the train which then takes you to Jaipur. You reach Jaipur at around 11.30 am. This Pink City, featuring a number of architectural wonders, was established in 1727 by Sawai Jai Singh II. This land of artisans and craftsmen has numerous tourist sites including Hawa Mahal, Amber Fort, Jantar Mantar, the City Palace, etc. You visit these interesting sites as well as the local markets famous for locally designed jewellery items and carpets. You return to the luxurious coach of the train and enjoy overnight stay.
Day 5 : Thursday, Khajuraho (MP), Arrival 10.00 am, Departure 08.00 pm
Detailed Tour Itinerary: You reach Khajuraho in the morning of fifth day of your tour. Khajuraho is famous for the temples featuring erotic carvings on the walls. These temples date back to 10th century and were built during the period of Chandela kings. You explore the temples for the whole day and return to board the train.
Day 6 : Friday, Varanasi (UP), Arrival 06.00 am Departure 09.00 pm
Detailed Tour Itinerary: You arrive at Varanasi Station next day. Also known as Kashi, this ancient land is among the prime pilgrimage sites for Hindus. It is a popular belief among Hindus that one who dies at this holy place gets liberation from cycles of birth and death. From this land of Lord Shiva flows the holy Ganges which attracts millions of devotees who come to enjoy a dip in its sacred water. For the whole day, you enjoy sightseeing tour of Varanasi and then return to your luxurious cabin in Royal Rajasthan On Wheels.
Day 7 : Saturday, Agra (UP), Arrival 10.00 am, Departure 09.00 pm
Detailed Tour Itinerary: You reach Agra at around 10 am on Saturday. This city was founded in early 16th century. Agra is known all over the world for the wonderful Taj Mahal, an epitome of the love of an emperor for his wife. In your sightseeing tour of Agra, you get a chance to visit this amazing structure as well as the Red Fort.
Day 8 : Sunday, Delhi, Arrival 04.00 am
Detailed Tour Itinerary: You arrive at Safdarjung Railway Station at New Delhi in early morning of Sunday. Your journey ends here giving you some most pleasant memories of your lifetime.
