In this journey of different royal cities of Rajasthan, you get a chance to visit Jaipur, Sawai Madhopur, Chittaurgarh, Udaipur, Jaisalmer, Jodhpur, Bharatpur, and Agra city in Uttar Pradesh. During this journey, you enjoy the world-class facilities at Palace On Wheels such as bar lounges, restaurant, libraries, and even shopping facilities.

Day - 1 : New Delhi, Wednesday, 09.30 am

Detailed Tour Itinerary: Your Palace On Wheels tour starts from Delhi, where you join the group for sightseeing trip of Delhi. You visit the tourist sites of Qutab Minar, India Gate, Humayun’s Tomb, Lotus Temple, and some other interesting places. You enjoy lunch and then reach Safdarjung Railway station to start your unforgettable journey on Palace On Wheels. You receive a warm welcome at railway station and then board the train for a fascinating journey of Rajasthan in a royal manner.



Day - 2 : Thursday, Jaipur, Arrival 2.00 am, Departure 7.30 pm
Detailed Tour Itinerary: You reach Jaipur the capital city of Rajasthan established in 1727 AD by Raja Jai Singh II. This well planned city is also referred to as the Pink City. After breakfast, you get on an air-conditioned luxury bus for Jaipur sightseeing tour. The places you visit on this tour include the Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds), Amber Fort, City Palace, Jantar Mantar and local markets. Hawa Mahal is the magnificent five storied structure featuring honeycomb sandstone windows. City Palace is the former residence of royal family of Jaipur while Jantar Mantar is an ancient observatory dating back to the period of Jai Singh II. The visit to Rajasthan Government Emporium gives you a chance to buy handicraft, pottery, and jewellery items. You enjoy your lunch at Palace Hotel. You return to the Palace On Wheels in evening and enjoy your dinner on board.


Day - 3 : Friday, Sawai Madhopur, Arrival 05.30 am, Chittaurgarh Arrival 4 pm
Detailed Tour Itinerary: Palace On Wheels arrives at Sawai Madhopur in early morning of Friday. Sawai Madhopur was founded by Sawai Madho Singh I. You enjoy breakfast and then drive to Ranthambore National Park. This park is spread in an area of about 392 sq km and is among the best wildlife parks in India for watching tigers in their natural environment. Featuring numerous wildlife species including tigers, jackal, fox, hyena as well as many bird species, this park is also a favorite of wildlife photographers. You also visit here the ruins of a fort dating back to 10th century before returning to Palace on Wheels which then takes you to Chittaurgarh, the land known for its heroes and their stories of love and valor. The train arrives at Chittaurgarh at around 4 pm. You enjoy sightseeing tour of Chittaurgarh for the remaining day.


Day - 4 : Saturday, Udaipur, Arrival 08.00 am, Departure 3.30 pm
Detailed Tour Itinerary: The Palace On Wheels arrives at Udaipur at around 8 am on Saturday, the fourth day of your Rajasthan trip. This Lake City was established in 1559 AD by Maharana Udai Singh, the ruler of Mewar. You visit here Jag Niwas (Lake Palace) and City Palace. These are the two most excellent tourist places of Udaipur known for their unique charm. You also get a chance to watch the beautiful Lake Pichhola in Udaipur. You visit Crystal Gallery before returning to Palace on Wheels which then proceeds in its journey.

Day - 5 : Sunday, Jaisalmer, Arrival 09.15 am, Departure 11.45 pm
Detailed Tour Itinerary: You arrive at Jaisalmer railway station at around 9.15 am on day five of your Rajasthan tour. Jaisalmer, settled in the heart of Thar Desert, was established in mid-12th century by Rawal Jaisal. You visit the prime landmark of the city, the grand Jaisalmer Fort made of yellow sandstones. The havelis (mansions) of the city are worth exploring for their latticework and grand facades. Some prominent havelis of the city are Nathmalji-ki-haveli and Patwon-ki-haveli. At Government Emporium, you can buy pattu shawls, dresses with fine embroidery, handicraft and jewellery items, and many other things. You enjoy lunch in Palace On Wheels before enjoying the camel safari to Sam village to watch the amazing sand dunes. You enjoy dinner at hotel and return to the train before it departs for Jodhpur at around 11.45 pm.


Day - 6 : Monday, Jodhpur, Arrival 07.00 am
Detailed Tour Itinerary: The train arrives at Jodhpur on Monday morning at 7 am. Jodhpur is second largest among all cities in Rajasthan and features a massive wall all around the city. Mehrangarh Fort is the most famous site of Jodhpur featuring a number of impressive buildings within including the Sheesh Mahal (Palace of Mirrors), Moti Mahal (Pearl Palace), Phool Mahal, Daulat Khana, etc. You also visit the Jaswant Thada and white marble cenotaphs in Jodhpur. You also enjoy shopping handicraft items in local market in Jodhpur before returning to train that is ready to take you to another interesting destination in your Rajasthan tour.


Day - 7 : Tuesday, Bharatpur, Arrival 05.00 am, Departure 08.45 am, Agra, Arrival 10.30 am, Departure 11.00 pm
Detailed Tour Itinerary: The train arrives at Bharatpur on Tuesday morning, the seventh day of your Rajasthan trip. Bharatpur has served as the capital city for Maharaja Suraj Mal and is famous for the Keoladeo Ghana National Park (a bird sanctuary). You enjoy breakfast and then drive to the bird sanctuary to spot hundreds of different species of birds including Siberian Cranes, Egrets, Water Fowl, etc. In the evening, you return to train which leaves for Agra at 8.45 am. It reaches Agra at 10.30 am. In Agra, you visit Fatehpur Sikri, Agra Fort and the magnificent Taj Mahal. Then you return to station, board the train, and enjoy the dinner served in the train. Next morning, the train arrives at Safdarjung Railway Station in New Delhi thus bringing an end to a pleasant journey of your lifetime.
