Fairy Queen

A perfect way to get introduced to the rich heritage and wildlife of India, the Fairy Queen is a historic train of India, featuring oldest working engine in whole world. This train was manufactured by a British company during mid-19th century and was brought to India by Eastern Indian Railways in the year 1855. After serving the people for many years, the train was put on exhibit at National Rail Museum in Delhi. Later, it was restored as a luxury train and started functioning in 1997 under the tourism project of Ministry of Tourism. It has also won National Tourism Award.

The duration of the Fairy Queen Train Tour is 2 days and 1 night. The train covers tourist destinations of Delhi and Sariska during its journey.

Day 1 : Saturday

Detailed Tour Itinerary: The Fairy Queen Train tour begins from Delhi on Saturday. Delhi, the capital city of India and a historical place is known for its ancient monuments including Red Fort, Qutub Minar, India Gate, Parliament House, and many more. You board the train at Delhi Cantt. Railway Station. At around 10 AM, the train leaves the station. After about half-hour, you are served light snacks. You also enjoy the lunch and other refreshments served on board. At about 4 PM, you arrive at Alwar railway station. From there, you move to Sariska on an air-conditioned coach. Later in the evening, you check in at Hotel Tiger Den. You enjoy your dinner and overnight stay at Hotel Tiger Den.


Day 2 : Sunday
Detailed Tour Itinerary: The second day of your Fairy Queen Train Tour involves visit to Sariska Wildlife Sanctuary. Sariska is famed for its tigers and other wildlife including leopards, chinkara, nilgai, etc. The sanctuary offers a unique experience to watch wild animals living in their natural surroundings in Sariska. You can also visit ruins of temples dating back to 10th century in this region. In the morning of second day of your India trip, you drive to Sariska Tiger Sanctuary on jeep safari and enjoy spotting wild animals in the wilds. After about 3 hours, you return to hotel for breakfast. At around 12 noon, you leave Sariska for Alwar by air-conditioned coach. You board the Fairy Queen which leaves Alwar at 1 PM. You are served lunch, snacks, and drinks on board. At around 6:45 PM, the train arrives at Delhi Cantt. Railway station from where you move as per your further schedule of India trip
