Day 02: Delhi

Agra, a world famous city, was established during the reign of Mughal Emperor Akbar and prospered during the period of Shah Jahan. It served as the capital city for Mughal Empire. A number of monuments dating back the Mughal period can be seen in Agra; however, the main reason for people's visit to Agra is Taj Mahal. After you reach Agra, you visit Taj Mahal, Agra Fort, and Baby Taj.

Detailed Tour Itinerary: You leave for Jaipur by road on the fourth day of your India travel. On way to Jaipur from Agra is Fatehpur Sikri. This town was founded by Akbar in 16th century. Akbar also made Fatehpur Sikri his capital and constructed a number of buildings here. It features a great mosque that was built by Akbar in honor of saint Chisti. You visit the mosque and other sites here and then continue your travel to Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan, famous for its legendry palaces and fortresses. You reach Jaipur in late afternoon and relax. You can visit the Birla Temple in the evening that is a beautiful marble structure, constructed in 1985, featuring ornate statues of goddess Lakshmi and Lord Narayan.
